A New Chapter Begins

If you live in Northern New Jersey and are looking for a dog trainer… We are here! My name is Nicholas Messina. I have spent the past 11 years growing and evolving my understanding and insight into dog ownership, training and behavior. I am very excited to announce that I am offering services to Mahwah New Jersey, Montvale, Ramsey, Allendale, Upper Saddle River and everything in between North Jersey to the North Shore of Long Island. I am often reminding people that when they are hiring a dog trainer, they are really inviting a mentor into their life. It is important that the person you are working with feels good to you. As you are the most important piece of the dog training equation. You should look forward to working with your trainer and your dog should as well. It’s an exciting endeavor.

One of my main focuses when meeting a client for the first time, is to get a sense of their needs. Dog ownership and goals can vary greatly from owner to owner. And each owner is a unique individual. We have to be receptive to who they are as a person. Who and how they are emotionally is a big part of how to meet their needs. So, when we have softer clients… we work within a frame work that they may find comfort in. Nobody should be forcing you to do things with your dogs that you're not comfortable with. Having said that, it’s ok to be thoughtfully challenged to see things in new ways and to keep and open mind.
